Since
I can’t run an excavator the way I wield a watercolor brush I believe
it is crucial to analyze and visualize each landscape thoroughly beforehand.
I begin with ecologically driven site analysis - geology, hydrology, vegetation,
historic use, current adaptation, foot and vehicle traffic, views, exposure
to sunlight, and legal constraints. With this factual and analytical survey
as my basis, I present design alternatives which creatively meld your
desires, my sensibility, and the lay of the land. Once we agree upon a
master plan for your site, I create plans for earthworks, construction,
and planting. I pride myself on professional construction management and
on keeping clients fully apprised, each step of the way, from bid to bloom.
